Because even strong people collapse when they never pause.
nemen.
You know those moments when everything feels too much. Your head is overflowing, your body is protesting, and suddenly you think: “I can’t do this anymore. Maybe I should just… quit.”
I had one of those moments too. Long before I became a coach and investor — back when I was still working full-time as a real estate lawyer.
My story
My business partner suddenly dropped out because of personal circumstances. And what did I do? I worked harder. Took over her files. Ran even faster. Not just because it had to be done, but because I wanted to fix it. For her. For the clients. For the firm. And because I firmly believed I could fix it.
The problem?
It was already too busy. My body was exhausted. My arms hurt — not ideal when you’re spending hours at a computer with a physical limitation.
And all the while I worried. About her. About the workload. About what would happen next.
Quitting felt impossible. And yet… deep down, I thought about it.
📌 “You don’t need to collapse to slow down. You’re allowed to pause — in time.”
My Turning Point
Eventually, I had to admit I couldn’t see the way forward anymore. I had to ask for help. Luckily, that help came.
We sat down together. Took the time — even though I thought I had no time.
And then it happened: clarity returned. A plan took shape.
And with it, came lessons:
• Even strong people collapse if they keep running too long.
• Even strong people need help.
• Freedom is never an accident. It’s a choice that begins with conscious pausing.
Looking back, I see this ...
as the beginning of my shift. I knew: this has to change. I want to design my life differently — with space. For rest. For ownership. For recovery when it’s needed. That moment planted the seed for my journey to financial freedom — and for a new kind of leadership: soft and strong at the same time.
🔧 Practical tip – Pause before you break
Plan one moment of true rest this week. No Netflix. No scrolling. Just nothing. Then ask yourself:
• What have I been carrying for weeks without asking for help?
• Where do I need rest but don’t allow myself to take it?
• What can I delegate, release, or do differently today?
The strongest choices don’t come when you’re running on empty — they come when you dare to stop.
💬 Do you recognise this?
That moment when it all got too much — and you pushed through anyway? Or the moment you finally asked for help? Share your story with me. It doesn’t need to be perfect, just honest.
And who knows, your words might inspire someone who is standing at that exact point right now.
🎯 Want to learn how to be gentle with yourself?
In my coaching, I work with strong people. People who carry a lot. Who are often the rock for everyone else. And who now feel: I want to learn how to be gentle with myself — without losing control.
